PBS North Carolina and the North Carolina Zoo Present a Special Screening and Panel Discussion — The American Buffalo, A Film by Ken Burns Join us for an in-person event at the historic Sunset Theater in downtown Asheboro! Together with the North Carolina Zoo, we are thrilled to present a special screening of The American Buffalo, a Film by Ken Burns. Enjoy carefully curated clips from the series that bring the captivating story of this iconic animal and its significance to the Great Plains, Native Americans and American history. The evening begins with clips from The American Buffalo and will be followed by a panel discussion with subject-matter experts from the North Carolina Zoo. Have your questions ready to join the conversation and expand your knowledge beyond the film. Doors open at 6:30 PM. This is free, family-friendly event, but registration is required.
