The baseball field at South Asheboro Middle School will be transformed into a Field of Honor® with 500 U.S. flags posted in perfect rows and columns in tribute to Veterans, First Responders, Military, Educational, Humanitarian, and “Home Town” Heroes. Each flag represents an individual and tells a story. Flags may be sponsored to honor individuals or groups. The event is the perfect opportunity for all of us to remember and honor those who served to protect our nation and communities, as well as those who make us better human beings. The funds raised will benefit the charitable programs of the Asheboro Rotary Club Foundation and the Asheboro/Randolph Chamber Foundation. It is an experience hard to describe, but never to be forgotten. We invite all to visit the Field of Honor® display and walk with us among the posted flags. The display is open to all without charge.
The Field of Honor is free to view and walk through, and is open 24 hours a day beginning Thursday evening, November 9th.
