Delores Farmer, a self-taught potter based in Durham NC, uses different techniques to create texture and layers on her pottery that mimic organic shapes, colors, and texture. She aims to create pottery that holds true to the idea that we are not perfect, and that in our textured life, however rough, smooth and misshapen, our beauty, and true character is revealed and adorned.

Kimberley Pierce Cartwright, is a talented Quilter and Painter who focuses on sewing and crafting as it puts life in perspective and is reminiscent of simpler times. In 2006 she was introduced to the African American Quilt Circle of Durham, NC, a turning point in her life as creating quilts for shows gave her the courage to make and show her work. Quilting and fiber artwork make her whole and reminds her of the skill and beauty of simple days.
