ASHEBORO, NC – Air Hike, the North Carolina Zoo’s 23 obstacle ropes course will be closed from August 1 – 4. Air Hike employees will be participating in a routine safety and training program in order to maintain the highest standards of safety for all participants and employees. Air Hike will be open this weekend July 30- 31 and will re-open Friday, August 5. Meanwhile, the North Carolina Zoo is open seven days a week from 9 a. m. until 5 p.m. with over 5 miles of walking trails allowing guests to explore nearly 2000 animals from North America and Africa as well as conservation messages from both continents.
