NC Zoo centers gain $1 million from bequest

ASHEBORO - Two centers at the N.C. Zoo plus pachyderm breeding will benefit from a $1 million bequest from an N.C. Zoo Society benefactor.
Half of the money goes toward the maintenance and administration of the two centers, the Valerie H. Schindler Wildlife Rehabilitation Center which opened in 2001 and the Valerie H. Schindler Learning Center in 2008.
