Tourism experts brace for lean 2010

ASHEBORO - Randolph County Tourism Development Authority (TDA) officials are bracing for a 2010 that will look a lot like 2009 - with a reduced number of tourists intent on getting as much as possible for their vacation dollar.
In a review of economic information from a tourism marketing firm, Tammy O'Kelley, TDA director, advised board members in the organization's monthly meeting Wednesday that consumers are still in the mood to save.
