Fall Festival - This Weekend in Downtown Asheboro

Posted on 10/03/13

Asheboro, NC - This year marks the 41st Annual Fall Festival.  Saturday Oct. 5th and Sunday Oct. 6th the streets of downtown Asheboro will fill with 400+ Arts & Crafts vendors, Food and much more.  The event is coordinated by the Randolph Arts Guild and serves as both equally as a celebration of culture and community.

For almost as many years the tradition of the Fall Festival parade has kicked-off the beginning of this fun filled weekend. This year will be no different. As is the custom, the parade is going to be the Friday night before the Festival at 7pm on October 4th in Downtown Asheboro. The parade will begin on Church St. and then take Sunset to S. Fayetteville before ending at Wainman Ave.

This year’s event is sponsored by Randolph Telephone, Aaron’s Sales and Lease, Wells Fargo, Triad Heating & Cooling, The Fairfield Inn, The Hampton Inn and Asheboro Dermatology.

The event is free but those who want to give back can bring art supplies to booth 311.  The donations will go to support Donna Lee Loflin Elementary.  This Asheboro Elementary School is needing art supplies for regular classroom teachers to implement the A+ program in their setting. Currently teachers are spending their personal money to provide what they want to have for their students.

Booths are open Saturday and Sunday 10am - 6pm.  There will be a heritage village, music, demonstrations, and livestock shows throughout the weekend.  For more information visit www.AsheboroFallFestival.com or Facebook.com/AsheboroFallFestival.
