Bulldog Pottery to Host 10th Annual “Cousins in Clay” Event

ASHEBORO, NC – The “cousins” are coming back to Seagrove, the pottery capital of the U.S., on June 2 & 3, 2018 at Bulldog Pottery. This year’s event will feature a diverse group of outstanding clay artists including Steven Godfrey, Alaska; Todd Wahlstrom, Vermont; Paul McMullan, New Hampshire; Michael Kline, Bakersville, North Carolina; and Seagrove’s own, Bruce Gholson and Samantha Henneke of Bulldog Pottery. One-of-a-kind pots will go sale beginning Saturday morning at 10:00 AM.

A special feature this year will be a demonstration by Paul McMullan on Saturday at 3:00 PM. On Sunday, the sale of pots starts at 10:00 AM with the annual Potter’s Potluck beginning at 12:00. Following lunch there will be a duo throwing demonstration by Steven Godfrey and Todd Wahlstrom.

“Cousins in Clay” has built a reputation for featuring some of the best potters in the country. Their desire is to make this event weekend as relaxed and accessible as possible for pottery enthusiasts allowing for one-on-one discussions with the potters. Host potters Gholson & Henneke will serve food and the event will also feature music by specially invited musicians who will perform throughout the two-day event.
