Randolph Arts Guild Announces CALL TO ARTISTS: Young at Art!

The month of July, Randolph Arts Guild has decided to explore what happens when we bridge the gap between the artistic youth of Randolph County and its more "grown up" members of the community.
Asheboro, NC - It was once said by Pablo Picasso that “All children are artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up”. Well, for the month of July, Randolph Arts Guild located at 123 Sunset Ave in downtown Asheboro has decided to explore what happens when we bridge the gap between the artistic youth of Randolph County and its more “grown up” members of the community. Randolph Arts Guild looks to accomplish this task by inviting artist to come and admire the work of the talented youth of Randolph County during the “Youth Art Month” exhibition that is currently on display during the month of March. Upon seeing this exhibition, Randolph Arts Guild ask that each artist find a piece of art within the show that they find inspiring and then create a companion piece to compliment the work of the youth that was the original inspiration.
It is asked that all work that is entered into the show be original content that was a piece chosen from the Youth Art Month exhibition. Created works of art can be of any media and size but wall hanging pieces should be ready to hang. The Randolph Arts Guild asks that artists contact them in advance by calling 336-629-0399 x23 for any pieces that require special consideration for display. During the exhibition, the work of the youth and the participating artist will be displayed adjacent to one another to show the relationship between the visions and perspective of the youth and the adults.
The Young at Art exhibition is open to any and all artist above high school age that are looking to reconnect with their youthful inner artist. Artists are encouraged to come out to the Youth Art Month Exhibition at the Randolph Arts Guild, find some inspiration, and discover if you are still Young at Art! The Youth Art Month exhibition will be on display at the Randolph Arts Guild 123 Sunset Ave. Asheboro, NC through Tuesday March 31st.
