Details

Originally from the cotton mill village of Worthville and graduate of Jordan Matthews (Siler City), Mike Gaffney was a fixture in Asheville folk music scene for over 35 years. His web site, TheMikeGaffney.com, previews some of his original, unique work in guitar, voice and songwriting. Mike will be joined by two singer/songwriter friends—Laura Vincent and her dad, Al Simmons. Al’s “musical journey” has run the gamut from singer/songwriter solo, acoustic duos, and bands to an album and two charted singles as well as his work in Nashville. Now living in Moore County, NC, he is currently a member of the acoustic Americana trio “Berryfield” See www.reverbnation.com/alsimmons. Laura is a multi-instrumentalist, and ballad singer-songwriter. She’s performed hundreds of concerts and shows on the east coast but now lives in southeastern rural North Carolina. She was named by the Triad Music Festival AMPD Expo as Songwriter of the Year for 2017.
